Star
& Dagger plays New Orleans' Voodoo Fest on the Le Carnival Stage!
Friday, October 26th 3:45 p.m. That's right, it takes three coasts
to make one Star & Dagger. Check out the article on Nola.com.
Last Hurrah had a great time in NYC with Star & Dagger. The band
played two shows. A secret gig at The Manderley Bar in The McKittrick
Hotel on October 11th with the band playing in costume.
And a show with the Chrome Cranks at The Mercury Lounge on Saturday
night, October 13th.
Actress Missi Pyle showed up at both gigs, showing her love
for the band.

Lost Tracts of Time

On
Wednesday, June 6, Decibel Magazine premiered Lost Tracts of
Time by -(16)-
on the Deciblog
section of the magazine's
website. The web post streamed the three songs on the upcoming
vinly only EP release accompanied by an interview with singer
Chris Jerue specificaly about these unreleased tracks, recorded
during the Zoloft Smile sessions. Prepared for vinyl by
former White Zombie guitarist J.
Yuenger, the three lost songs have been born again with renewed
fury for enhanced listening.
Lost
Tracts of Time includes midnight forest cover and sleeve
artwork designed by Lindsey
Kuhn. The vinyl is midnight sky colored mixed with opaque
and translucent hues. The A side of the record showcases the
three songs at 45 RPM while the entire B Side is an etching
by Kuhn.
The
run is limited to 500 copies.

On
Friday, March 13, Last Hurrah Records got to participate in a SXSW
pre-party in Austin, Texas at Emo's East. Our Art Director
Lindsey Kuhn
had his 20th anniversary of doing silkscreened rock
posters,
doing a gig poster, t-shirt, and skateboard
deck design for the show. There was also a skate ramp, half pipe
in the house, open to the public! Oh, and I forgot to mention that
the show was free. So you could skate, thrash, or drink (but you had
to pay for that)... Better still, the event featured live performances
from High on Fire,
Venomous Maximus,
Eagle Claw, Iron Tongue and Star & Dagger! Star & Dagger
got to open for High on Fire, totally making the girls night! Here's
a few random photos from inside Emo's East.
Last Hurrah Records is excited to announce the addition of Gene Trautmann
( Queens of the Stone Age) as the new drummer for Star & Dagger,
along with Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal) on guitar.

at Peasant Wine Bar in NYC
Last Hurrah Records hosted a small but vibrant
gathering at Peasant Wine Bar in NYC to celebrate Star &
Dagger's 3 song vinyl release "In My Blood". DJ Morgan
Liebman brought the metal to entertain discerning guests. Among
them Don Jamieson (VH1 Classic "That Metal Show"),
actor Adrian Grenier ("Entourage"), Today Show's Chassie
Post, members of the metal Bee Gees Tribute band "Tragedy",
"Supagroup's" Chris Lee, "Upper Crust's"
Nat Freedberg, ASCAP's Alexandra Lioutikoff, music industry
adept Garrett Schaefer, Atlantic Records' Torsten Luth, photographer
Leslie Van Stelten & stylist Jet Olivia (who shot the forthcoming
Star & Dagger album cover), Damien Paris of the Giraffes,
photographer/Serious Eats writer Nick Solares, Lori Yorkman

We had a wonderful time & enjoyed

to record a 12" limited edition, colored vinyl with artwork by
Lindsey Kuhn for Last Hurrah Records.

In lieu of cold statistics, nationwide bamboozlement and the usual
mind numbing malaise,
Sean Yseult (White Zombie), vocalist Von Hesseling, guitarist
Donna She Wolf (Cycle Sluts From Hell),
and drummer Dustin Crops offer up Star
& Dagger: A subwoofer's cauldron forged by functional alcoholism,
pharmaceutical voyage and junk drawer hallucinogens, steeped under
a heavy contraband haze that hangs
low enough to embrace the Almighty Downtrodden so they can revel in
